Walking in Heels through History is a series based on three periods of time that marked an important period to the evolution of the heel. Each shoe and material represents a period of history where the role of the heel changed in society. The first version of the heel represents cowboys, when the heel was something useful allowing the horse riders not fall off the horse; the second heel represents the monarchy of Louis the XIV, when the heel became a source of status; the third heel represents WWII, when the heel became a sexual symbol through pinups sent to the men to have something to look forward to after the war. This series aims to transform the view of heels into a source of empowerment.
