Walk a Mile in My Shoes is a sculpture focused on raising awareness about human trafficking. The sculpture is an abstract take on a high heel made from welded rebar and zip ties. The sculpture is very rusty and has many protrusions. The rust is a visual representation of the life of victims once they have reached a certain age and are released into society, they are consumed by the environment that they were exposed to for a long time. The use of line, space, and texture delivers a feeling of confinement and discomfort. This piece represent the imprisonment of the victims of human trafficking and their exploitation.
